Dean is Katapult's Chief Operating Officer and a Financial Advisor. He joined the practice in 2015, working alongside David as a Financial Advisor at GPP Wealth Management, and helped lead the firm's rebrand to Katapult Wealth Partners in 2021.
He came to the firm from PwC, which he joined in 2012 in the Financial Services Assurance practice in Dallas, spending most of his time with hedge fund, private equity, and venture capital clients in North Texas. He later moved to the firm's Deals practice in New York as a Senior Associate, working on capital markets and accounting advisory projects for asset management, pharmaceutical, and industrial companies. A CPA holding the Personal Financial Specialist credential, he brings those institutional habits to a family firm.
In 2023, Dean was named an AICPA Personal Financial Planning Standing Ovation Award recipient, an honor presented at the AICPA & CIMA ENGAGE conference in Las Vegas to a small group of CPA financial planners each year for exceptional contributions to the field. From 2021 to 2024, he also served on the Avantax Advisor Council, a group of advisors that carries the perspective of independent financial professionals to Avantax executive leadership.
